This simple project resulted in a scarf that is both useful and stylish. I love how the repeating sections of texture create a subtle design, and the embroidered motifs add a beautiful, personal touch.

The Process
To start, I cast on 25 stitches onto my size 7 knitting needles. I began by knitting 3 rows of garter stitch to create a clean border. Then, I worked 10 rows in stockinette stitch to create the smooth section. After that, I continued the pattern by alternating 3 rows of garter stitch and 5 rows of stockinette stitch until the scarf reached the length I wanted.
To finish the scarf, I added fringes to both ends. For the final flourish, I used embroidery floss to create tiny motifs, which really made the scarf feel unique and special.
